Les Muscleres

Located 2 kilometres at the north of the urban centre of l'Escala, in front of the Empúries ruins and at the south of Sant Martí d'Empúries, it is a beach of fine sand of about 420 metres of length easily accessible by car or on foot through the pedestrian promenade that goes from l'Escala to Sant Martí. It is located in a natural environment boarded by a large pinewood growing down to the seashore.

It also offers a lot of services like bar and restaurant zone, parking área for cars, showers and toilets, lifeguards .There you will be able to practise all types of nautical sports in a neighborhood of special savage beauty.

Popular between families with children for the waters are not deep and not dangerous to enter in.It enables moreover enjoying a cultural pause as for the presence of the greek-roman ruins just there, crossing the promenade as well as for the  remains you can appreciate while diving along the coast.

The place was also honored to receive the Olympic Flame in 1992 on its way to Barcelona for the Olympic Games.
