Moll Grec

This beach is well known in L'Escala and owes its name to the old Greek dock, remains of the port of Empuries ( which was for many years the entrance door to the peninsula for the Greek and Roman civilitzations) that still stands there for more than two thousand years . On the other side of the beach the medieval village of Sant Marti d'Empuries can be found .It is worth the visit!!

The beach of Moll Grec is of fine blond sand and is easily accesible walking from the promenade (several parkings are stategically situated in the neighborhood), bikeriding or enjoying a little tour with the touristic tren “Carrillet”.

The place is popular and offers a lot of services such as a bar zone, toilets and showers, lifeguards and the possibility to rent hammocks.

 It has received the EMAS quality certification as well as “Calidad Ambiental” and ISO 14001.
